Currier & Ives an American firm of lithographers active during the 19th century. In 1857, Nathaniel Currier (1813-88) entered in to a partnership with James Merritt Ives (1824-95). Currier & Ives lithographs were devoted to subjects from the familiar to the sensational: scenes of social & domestic life, public disasters, and raids by Native Americans. Today original Currier & Ives prints are valuable collectors' items. The following includes many of Currier and Ives reproductions as beautiful as the originals.
